David Cherwien Graces Us Again

In celebration of the organ, David Cherwien, plays a hymn festival at Zion Lutheran Church, Fri. 7 p.m. Jan 24 followed by a Sat. Jan. 25 workshop 9-10:30am.

Free to all CMI members, Dr. Cherwien's workshop will present a "Liturgical Tour Through the Year: Music for organ and choir from Lent through Epiphany,”  which will include organ and choral music composed by Cherwien and favorite pieces by various composers used at Mount Olive Lutheran. Dr. Cherwien will draw connections between text and music, especially in his own compositions, and place them in the liturgy and the liturgical year.
