Join other leaders of music to plan and finesse music programs for 2026-27, share ideas and use CMI's abundant resources, with one-on-one access to CMI staff and clinicians.

Presenters: 

Mr. Chris Brunt is Organist at Custer Road United Methodist Church in Plano, TX.  He holds music degrees from Millsaps College (B.M.), and Westminster Choir College (M.M.) (student of Donald McDonald). He has studied at the Royal School of Church Music (London, England), and did post-graduate work in music history at the University of Mississippi. He has held positions at Millsaps College, Highland Park United Methodist Church (Dallas), and is in demand as an accompanist for professional groups in the DFW area. He presently serves as an active member of the Dallas Chapter of the American Guild of Organists (AGO national member since 1977, Historian, Chapter Dean: 2020-22).

 

Dr. Gregory Hobbs is Music Director at Highland Park Presbyterian Church in Dallas, TX. He holds degrees from Florida State University (B.M.E.) and Northwestern University (D.M. in Conducting). As director of both the Chancel Choir and Highland Park Chorale, Dr. Hobbs has prepared and presented his choirs to offer sacred masterworks of historic and current importance as part of the HPPC music program and in settings across the U.S. and abroad. He is a frequent presenter for ACDA and other professional venues. He has served on the faculties of the University of North Texas and Southern Methodist University.

 

Dr. Yoonmi Lim is Organist at Highland Park Presbyterian Church, Dallas, TX.  She received her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from Yonsei University, Seoul, where her teachers were Dr. Tong-Soon Kwak and Kyung-Hee Jung.  Her doctoral studies were at Indiana University, studying with Dr. Christopher Young.  Yoonmi Lim is the winner of major organ competitions and a recording artist.  Prior to coming to HPPC, Dr. Lim was associate professor of organ and the Albert L. Travis Chair in the School of Church Music at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary where she taught courses in Organ Literature, Organ Pedagogy, Service Playing, and Applied Organ. Originally from Seoul, Korea, Dr. Lim spent her middle school years in Sydney, Australia.

 

Ms. Caitlin Molechat is Director of Music at First United Methodist Church, Richardson, TX.  She holds B.M.E and M.M. degrees from the University of North Texas, summa cum laude. She has been part of the Music Ministry at First Methodist since 2012, assuming the Director of Music position in 2025.  She has been involved in educational programs for youth, with her dedication to music ministry recognized by the Choral Excellence in Worship Award from Texas Choral Directors Association. 

 

Dr. Lynn Trapp is Director of Liturgy and Music at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Baltimore, MD where he maintains a career as concert organist, pianist, conductor, composer and liturgist.  His degrees are from Southern Illinois University (B.M.), University of Notre Dame (M.M. in Music/Liturgy, and University of Kansas (D.M.A.).  As a published composer of choral and keyboard compositions and presenter at professional societies, he is also the winner of organ competitions and recipient of awards from his alma maters.  He is currently the Michael Joncas Library Resident for 2026, working on projects in the Psalms to share with CMI constituents.  He is a native of Missouri and married to Karen Rene Trapp.  www.lynntrapp.com
